IB & A-Level Impact

At BKA, we offer a carefully structured educational pathway that combines the strengths of the IB and Swiss Lehrplan 21 from Kindergarten through Secondary Middle School, followed by A-Levels in Secondary Upper School. This approach provides students with a strong foundation and keeps pathways open to higher education in Switzerland and internationally.

From Kindergarten through Primary School, our IB and Swiss Lehrplan 21 approach supports students in becoming curious, confident, and independent learners. Through inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and a holistic approach to education, students develop strong academic foundations, language skills, and personal competencies.

In Grades 7–9 (Secondary Middle School), students continue with our dual IB and Lehrplan 21 programme, developing critical thinking, collaboration, independence, and a broad range of academic skills. This dual pathway provides a strong foundation for further education in both Switzerland and internationally.

In Secondary Upper School, students progress to our A-Level programme, focusing on 3–4 core subjects aligned with their strengths and future aspirations. A-Levels provide academic depth while developing independent thinking, research, logical reasoning, and communication skills, preparing students for university in Switzerland and around the world.

By combining the IB and Lehrplan 21 with A-Levels, BKA offers a coherent educational journey that supports students from their early years through to graduation, preparing them for diverse academic opportunities both in Switzerland and internationally.
